User Guide

Note:

Adobe Captivate does not support new file formats in Office 12 like pptx, docx. To import PowerPoint slides

created using office 12, save the presentation in an earlier version of PowerPoint before importing it.

To import PowerPoint slides into an Adobe Captivate project:

Open the Adobe Captivate project to which you want to add PowerPoint slides.

Select File > Import > Import Microsoft PowerPoint Slides.

The Open dialog box appears.

Browse to the location of the PowerPoint presentation (PPT, PPS, or POT file format) that contains the slide or

slides to import, and select the presentation.

Click Open.

The PowerPoint slide options dialog box appears.

Decide where the imported PowerPoint slides should be placed in the Adobe Captivate project. You can add

the slides to the end of the project, or you can click a slide in the list and add the PowerPoint slides after the desig-
nated slide.

Click OK.

The PowerPoint slides are extracted, and the Convert PowerPoint presentations dialog box appears.

Select the PowerPoint slides to convert to Adobe Captivate project slides. Select individual slides by clicking the

check box in the upper-right corner of slides (so a green check mark appears in the check box). You can also click
the Select All button to select all slides.

Select one of the following options for importing PowerPoint animations:

•

Animation

Import any animation associated with the PowerPoint slides.

•

Background Image

Import the PowerPoint slides without their associated animation.

To set navigation preferences for the selected slides, use one of he following options from the Advance slide list:

•

On mouse click

Move to the next slide only after the mouse is clicked.

•

Automatically

Move to the next slide after the slide time-out.

Click OK.

The PowerPoint slides are imported into the Adobe Captivate project and appear in the designated location.

If necessary, you can change slide order.
