Driver Installation

[

IMPORTANT

]

:

You should install the Windows NT 4.0 with at least

Service Pack 4 (version number: 4.00.1381) first before
installing the VGA driver. If you don't have the Windows
NT 4.0 Service Pack 4, please contact your software
vendor or download it from Microsoft's web site.

Installing the Drivers for Windows 2000/XP

1.

Boot Windows 2000/XP.

2.

The driver is included in the ADLINK CD. Run the

300win2kxp.exe

under the following directory:

X:\CHIPDRV \VGA\SIS305.

3.

Click

Next>

on Welcom

e

screen. And select

Typical

on Setup

Type screen and click

Next>

.

4.

Use default program folders on Select Program Folder screen.
Click

Next>

to install driver. Finally, click

Finish

to re-start.

NOTE:

As the SIS305 does not support multi-display; the system may

halt if other PCI VGA card drivers are used under windows 2000.
After installing the SIS305's windows 2000 VGA driver, and you
find that the system hangs during system boot-up, it is
recommend that the SIS305 driver be removed first and then use
other PCI VGA drivers to boot system and then change back to
the SIS305 driver.
