System Requirements

The following topics briefly describe the basic system requirements and
configurable features of the NuPRO-840.

Electrical and Environmental

Power Consumption

The values below are the measured power consumption for the SBC with
CPU and RAM only; the CPU is running under 100% loading. The power
for other peripheral devices such as keyboard, mouse, add-on cards,
HDD, and CD-ROM are not included. The system configuration includes:
NuPRO-840DV, Intel Pentium 4 / 2.4GHz, 512MB DDR SDRAM

The NuPRO-840 is supplied with a cooling fan allowing the processor to
operate between 0º and approximately 60º C ambient. It is the users'
responsibility to ensure that the NuPRO-840 is installed in a chassis
capable of supplying adequate airflow. The maximum power dissipation
of the processor at 2.4 GHz is 54W. External airflow

must

be provided at

all times. ADLINK has special designed chassis to allow for greater
airflow, please contact ADLINK sale representatives for more detail.

CAUTION:

The processor "core" temperature must

never

exceed 100°C

under any condition of ambient temperature or usage. This
may result in permanent damage to the processor.
