The product informs the user about the extent to which indoor air quality has
deteriorated or improved compared to the average VOC environment of the onboard
sensor, regardless of the actual VOC level in the room:
VOC Index 100 corresponds to the average gas composition indoors over the
past 7 days.
Values between 100 and 500 represent VOC events (more intense compared to
the historical average).
Values between 1 and 100 represent events of clean air or low VOC content
(less intense compared to the historical average).
Algorithm Configuration
In accordance with the recommendations of the MOX sensor supplier, Adeunis has
adapted the VOC algorithm to match its behavior with the use case of "indoor air
quality":
Application of a 30-minute moving average on the VOC index values. This
ensures that short-term events on the minute scale are less significant than the
long-term trend on the daily scale.
Use of a 7-day sliding window for the learning period.
