9.1 Establishing IR Connection With Another PC
a) As the ACT-IR204UN is plugged into PC USB port & the detection is confirmed as above. From
“Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager”.
b) Launch your application such as ”Hyper-Terminal” or any other application in the Windows.
c) Any File or Folder can also be transferred by following method…
Note :-Two PC’s can also be connected through IR Network connection through PPP connection (Start
> Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network and Dial-Up Connections > Make New
Connection ).
Save it on the Desktop like following screen. You can use “HyperTerminal” application to
transfer file or folder.
9.2 Symptom & Solution
9.2.1) Symptom: {Can not establish link}
Solution: {General}
1. The two IR devices are not aligned properly.
2. Distance is too near or far.
3. Device is inactivated
4. BIOS setting incorrect
5. Installation is not correct.
