7. TROUBLESHOOTING DRIVER INSTALLATION
NOTE:
When installing the device drivers into Windows 2000/XP, you may have some difficulty.
When you look at the device manager, if you do not see the ACTiSYS USB dongle listed you
may have to follow the following steps to reinstall the drivers.
a) Copy the Windows device drivers from the CD ROM to a directory on your PC.
Copy from CD ROM
To your PC
CD ROM: “Win2K&XP”
c:\ACTiSYS\
WIN2K&XP
b) Plug your USB to IR dongle into your PC at this time if it is not yet plugged in.
c) If the “Hardware Update Wizard” screen has been shown up, proceed to step e), otherwise
continue the following:
•
Click Windows toolbar
start
Control Panel {Control Panel window}
•
select “System” {System Properties window}
•
select “Device Manager” {Device Manager window}
•
Select “Ports (COM & LPT)”
•
Double click on “ACT-IR204U USB Serial IR Port (COM…”
•
From the
Properties
window, select the
Driver
Tab.
