Additional notes on the individual points in the Settings menu
Setting the switch points
Delay
The set delay only becomes active after a power failure (staggered start-up in projects). On each further start-
up, the pumps start up immediately when they are requested via the level.
Negligible level settings (on/off)
If a switching point below 5 cm is selected, the software automatically uses 5 cm as the switching point. If a
tripping point below 3 cm is selected, the software automatically uses 3 cm as the tripping point. The same
applies to the start of the overrun time, which then starts from 3 cm. This is necessary for safe operation of the
switchgear.
Overrun
The overrun allows the pump to continue draining off below the level probe, e.g. for ram pressure systems.
Runtime monitoring
The Maximum Runtime item can be called up from the menu. The value is set to zero on delivery, i.e. the
function is disabled. If a value of 1 – 60 minutes is set, the pump is switched off if the pump runs uninterrupted
for longer than the set value.
An alarm is also triggered and a corresponding error message is shown in the display.
The pump does not start running again until the fault has been acknowledged. The runtime monitoring covers
automatic and manual mode.
Current monitoring (max. current)
The rated current of the relevant pumps can be set directly. The software in the control system adds a certain
percentage to the set value in order to compensate tolerances. The pump is triggered after an I² / t function,
thus factoring in the increased staring current of the pump.
Thermal fault 1, thermal fault 2
In the case of pumps whose temperature monitoring only consists of one bimetal contact per pump, thermal
fault 1 can be deactivated accordingly in the menu. Thermal fault 2 cannot be switched off in the menu.
Fault memory
The last fault that occurred remains stored and can be called up in the menu under “Last Fault”. Once the fault
has been called up in the menu, it can be deleted from the memory with the Acknowledge button.
