TTL stands for Transistor-Transistor-Logic. It is used in connection to digital signals.
A digital signal is considered to be either a logical 0 or a logical 1 (hereafter only called
0 and 1). Physically a 0 corresponds to a voltage of 0-0.7 V, while a 1 corresponds to a
voltage of 2.8-5.0 V. Alternatively, a 0 might be called "low", and a 1 called "high".
