Making Changes to Audio Input Router
The
Audio Input Router
is used to route the physical audio input connectors on the Mira server rear panel (or on the AES Digital Audio
Breakout Panel, if that option is fitted)—routing them into each video channel
RECORDER
transport.
Mira 4-Channel & 8-Channel Servers
To open the Mira
Engineering Setup
window shown below,
perform the procedure “
Launching Mira Engineering Setup Utility

Click “
Audio Router
” tab.

Click “
Audio Input Router
” sub-tab.
8.
Click desired “
Ch
RECORDER
” sub-tab, for the recording channel on which you would like to change the audio routing.
9.
Use pull-downs to assign the desired physical audio input connectors to the given input tracks for the
RECORDER
.
10.
Click
to accept changes.
Available Audio Input Connector Assignments
AES Input
Selects the AES input connector as the audio source
when recording media into Mira on the selected video
channel transport.
NOTE:
The “
AES Input
” may be
missing and/or grayed out
and cannot be selected if this hardware option is
not
installed.
AES Audio I/O usually requires external 1RU “Break
-
out”
Panels connected to the rear panel of the Mira server.
Some early models of 4-Channel Mira servers featured 2-track
AES audio I/O built into the main Mira server chassis.
SDI Embedded
Selects the SDI Embedded Digital Audio input
connector as the audio source when recording media
in Mira on the selected video channel transport.
TASCAM AES Input
Selects the 25-D “TASCAM AES” input connector as
the audio source when recording media in Mira on the
selected video channel transport.
NOTE:
The “
TASCAM
AES Input
” may be
missing if your Mira
server is an older version, and this hardware is
not
present on
the Mira server main chassis rear panel.
