Procedure, with the oil conservator removed

Remove the cover (1).

DANGER!

Make sure that hoses and equipment is
correctly grounded. Unsatisfactorily
grounded equipment can cause
explosive gases to ignite.

Explosive gases are generated during
normal operation of the transformer.

Put a hose into the center hole (2) of the cover,
and connect it to an oil pump.

CAUTION!

Do not put a metal pipe into the
tap-changer, use a soft hose. A metal
pipe can cause damage to the
tap-changer.

Remove oil with the pump until the oil-level is 150
mm under the top cover.
