8 - Maintenance
Checks related to PV strings(*):
•
Polarity: make sure the polarity is the correct one.
•
Voltage: make sure the voltage is within the operating range of the inverter.
•
Leakage: make sure no leakages are present on the strings.
(*) this check must be performed in case the safe access is done to repair
the unit and there is the possibility the fault was induced by reversed
polarity, voltage out of the allowed range, leakage to ground. About how
to perform the tests, refer to product manual about the preliminary check
to perform prior the connection of the strings to the inverter
9. Discharge of the capacitor
•
Wait the internal capacitors to be discharged. The discharge time of the
stored energy is indicated on the regulatory label.

The covers of the wiring box and of the power conversion box can be opened (to carry
out the Voltage Absence Test, next step) only once the discharge time mentioned in the
regulatory label is elapsed.
10. Voltage absence test on DC side (wiring box)
Before to approach the below operations all the steps from1 to 9 included must be successfully
completed.

Remove the DC protective shield over the DC strings fuses plate

Visually inspect the components to identify the presence of any
overheating, signs of electric arcs, failure of the insulating devices,
loosen connections or cables not connected.
• Check all the LEDs installed on the DC Input Positive board are OFF.

For each one of the input channels, the measurement must be performed between: positive to
ground, negative to ground, positive to negative.
