In addition to the terminating resistor, it is also required to install a shielding clamp for the
RS485 communication to reduce EMC disturbances. The following figure shows a sample of
the clamp that can be used for shielding purpose.

M10x-TCP motor controller
The communication between Digital Gateway and M10x-TCP is established via Modbus TCP
protocol.
M10x-TCP supports standard star but also ring topology communication (MRP protocol, in
cases increased communication availability is required).

Parameterization of communication setting in M10x can be done either via the MD panel on
the MNS module front or with a Laptop with ‘MCUsetup’ / ‘MConfig’ software tool installed.
