Temperature related regulation of the charging current
Under extreme climatic conditions (e.g. hot summer days if
the charging station is exposed to direct sunlight) the
temperature may exceed the maximum operating limit of the
charging station at high charging speed. A temperature-
dependent regulation of the charging current will take place to
ensure the necessary security.
1.
If the charger detects an overtemperature, it reduces
the charging current for 15 minutes down to 13A. In
this condition, the charger flashes alternately slowly
blue and fast red on the LED display.
2.
Should the temperature not decrease within 12
minutes, charging will be paused. In this State, the
charger flashes alternately fast blue and fast red on the
LED display.
3.
As soon as the temperature is below the threshold
again, the charge will continue with the original speed.
IMPORTANT (REMARK)
to prevent a security-related limitation of the
charging current, we recommend to install the
charging station on the shadowed side of the
building or under a roof.
*Temperature related regulation of the ccharging current is
only needed and implemented in the fast charging models:
„CUA4“.
