WARNING!

The ACH550 is not a field repairable unit. Never

attempt to repair a malfunctioning unit; contact your local ABB
representative for replacement.

Control of the drive and motor

WARNING!

The ACH550 will start up automatically after an

input voltage interruption if the external run command is on.

WARNING!

Do not control the motor with an AC contactor or

disconnecting device (disconnecting means); use instead the
control panel (operator keypad) start (HAND

), AUTO

)

and stop (OFF

) keys or external commands (I/O or

fieldbus). The maximum allowed number of charging cycles of
the DC capacitors (i.e. power-ups by applying power) is five in
ten minutes.
