Preparing for installation

Contents of this chapter

This chapter describes how to install the MACHsense-R and commissioning it for
remote condition monitoring.

Prepare the installation location

Plan and prepare the installation location. Correct installation assures safe running
conditions and maximum accessibility. During installation, obey both the general
and local safety instructions. See

Safety instructions (page 9)

WARNING! Obey the instructions described in this manual, otherwise it may
result in incorrect installation of the device.

Install the antennas

Mount the two antennas on the DAU to correct positions. Do not tighten the
antenna screws too much:

•

The GSM or the longer antenna with a male SMA connector should
be positioned on the left side of DAU.

•

The Wi-Fi or the shorter antenna with a female SMA connector
should be positioned on the right side of DAU.
