9.3 Error Detection and Troubleshooting
Problem Suggested solution
The target beam is unusually
large or non-circular

Check the position of the defocus lever; it must be at
position F

Check the operating distance of the adjusting ring


aiming beam Reduce weaker aiming beam:

Reduce the intensity of the aiming beam at the laser

Amplify microscope illumination

Increase the illumination of the operating area

Slightly reduce the intensity of the aiming beam and
slightly increase the illumination of the operating area

No target beam

Switch on the laser

Activate the target beam

Check the operating distance of the adjusting ring
Micromanipulator is loose

Check whether the screw has been screwed into the
microscope adapter
Operation area darker than
usual

Check the deflection mirror for contamination; clean
the impurities as described in 9.3
9.4 Proper Disposal
When disposing of the product, the relevant local laws and regulations must be observed.
Never dispose of the appliance with household waste.
A.R.C. Laser will gladly assist you in disposing of your laser; costs and responsibility for
the appropriate return of the laser to A.R.C. Laser shall be borne by the buyer. Please
