IMAGE PROJECTION MODULE

The image projection module (IPM) on the Viper Pro provides energy to cure the liquid 
photopolymer resin within the resin delivery module. This module mounts to the process frame in 
a statically determinant manner with three points of support. Fastening the hardware installation 
will not deflect the IPM’s optics plate. All optics components are mounted to a single optics plate 
or substrate. The IPM must be aligned before installing it onto the Viper Pro.

Geometric Calibration on the Plane

For geometric calibration on the plane, please contact a 3D Systems Field Service Engineer.

Laser Power Calibration

Laser power calibration requires a 3D Systems Field Service Engineer.

Laser Power Reading

In the Build Screen, a window tells you the power that the system needs to build.

Pin Hole Definition

There are four pin holes in the profiler: 1/2 mil, 1 mil, 2 mil, and 4 mil. The system selects the 
appropriate pin hole based on laser power.
