The air-conditioning system for the room should be sized to account for the added cooling load of the PostCure 1050. If the
PostCure 1050 is ducted to remove the exhaust from the room, the added cooling load is much less than if the PostCure 1050
exhausts into the room. Cooling load to the room will also be highly dependent on the curing recipe.
Humidity and Altitude
The optimal humidity range for the PostCure 1050 system's location environment is 20% to 70% RH. The environmental
humidity level where parts are stored prior to curing and after curing can influence the equilibrium moisture content of parts,
which can result in some mechanical property differences. This moisture-level sensitivity is more-noticeable for some materials
than other materials. Parts dried and cured at an elevated temperature in the PostCure 1050 may be slightly drier than they will
become after acclimating to the humidity level of the room environment over time.
*For Figure 4 FLEX BLK 10 material, humidity outside the range of 10-65% RH can cause printed-part properties to significantly
change.
The PostCure 1050 system is capable of operating correctly up to an altitude of 1,609 m (5,280 ft) above mean sea level.
Sound Pressure
Overall sound pressure level for this equipment will not exceed 85 dBA, and, therefore, does not require ear protection to
operate.
Disposal of Printer Material and Waste
When you dispose of materials, refer to the SDS for that material and follow any applicable government regulations. All other
waste products must be disposed of in accordance with all applicable government regulations.
WEEE Warning (Europe Only)
This product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate collection point. Do not dispose of as
household waste. For more information, contact your reseller or local authorities in charge of waste management.
2.4 PostCure 1050 Electrical Safety
The PostCure 1050 was designed to minimize operator exposure to electrical hazards during normal operations. Do not remove
any panels or other parts of the PostCure 1050 casing. All exposed electrical circuits are contained within limited-access
cabinets. This is to separate the operator from service and maintenance areas. Only 3D Systems Service Personnel should
access the electrical panels. 200-230 VAC power is present in multiple locations throughout the system. Whenever performing
maintenance procedures, power down the machine and restrict AC power if possible.
2.5 PostCure 1050 Emergency Shutdown
WARNING: IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, IMMEDIATELY UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM THE MACHINE
AND ANY OF ITS COMPONENTS.
CAUTION: DO NOT POSITION THE MACHINE SUCH THAT IT IS DIFFICULT TO ACCESS ITS POWER CABLE IN AN
EMERGENCY SITUATION. YOUR 3D SYSTEMS INSTALLER SHOULD HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED YOUR MACHINE
WITH EASY ACCESS TO THE POWER CABLE. DO NOT MOVE THE MACHINE FROM WHERE YOUR 3D SYSTEMS
INSTALLER PLACED IT.
There is only one way to completely shut off power to the machine:
1. Flip the standby switch on the back of the machine; then unplug the power cord from the 30A connection. This disconnects
all electric current going to the unit. As such, it is the preferred method of shutting down the unit in an emergency.
