Part Placement in the Curing Chamber
To ensure uniform light exposure, when placing parts on the
glass plate, keep them about 13 mm (0.5 in.) from the edge of
the vertical walls below the glass.
When placing parts on the optional glass shelf, keep them
about 13 mm (0.5 in.) from the edge of the shelf-support
bracket.
Place as much space as possible between parts to ensure
good airflow and to minimize shadowing between parts. Tall
parts require more space between parts than short parts.
When curing short parts, a target of 1-3 inches between
parts often works well. For curing parts around six inches tall,
a target of 3-5 inches between parts often works well. For
curing much taller parts, a target of 5-9 inches between parts
often works well. Parts that are both tall and wide may require
additional spacing between parts.
Curing Parts on the Build Plate/Print Platform
Some customer workflows require parts to be post-cured while still attached to the build plate/print platform. This can be
accomplished simply by placing the cleaned and surface-dry build plate and parts on the glass base or glass shelf and running
the normal cure recipe for the material. The PostCure 1050 is large enough to fit ProX 800 and SLA 750 build platforms. This
may provide sufficient curing to meet the requirements for the application. However, it should be noted that curing parts while
still attached to the build plate significantly reduces the amount of light that reaches the bottom surfaces of parts. For some
