CUSTOMER TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
HW2
Part is not fully cured on one area,
but is on others
WEAR 100% nitrile gloves whenever handling GREEN parts/resin.
1. Do not crowd the glass plate with too many parts. One part might block UV
light from reaching another.
2. Check in the curing chamber to see if there are any obstructions that would
prevent UV light from hitting one side of a part. This can include, but is not
limited to:
a. Cured resin on a UV lamp
b. Cured resin on the glass plate
3. If items 1-2 do not resolve the issue, contact 3D Systems Service.
4. Parts with inner cavities are a challenge to cure well because inside surfaces
are shadowed from the light. If part walls are thin, curing can often
penetrate through the walls and provide sufficient curing of inner wall
surfaces. Also, choosing materials that are more transparent helps with
curing inner-wall surfaces. The best results are often achieved when parts
are designed with printing, cleaning, and post-curing processes in mind.
HW3
Power light is on, but touch screen
is not
1. Flip the standby switch to Standby. Unplug the machine. Wait 30 seconds,
plug it back in, and flip the standby switch to "on."
2. If item 1 does not resolve the issue, contact 3D Systems Service.
HW4
Machine will not power on
1. Check the I/O switch on the back of the machine and ensure it is in the I
position. This must be true for the front power button to work.
2. Ensure the machine is plugged in and that your dedicated circuit is not
tripped
3. Flip the standby switch to Standby. Unplug the machine. Wait 30 seconds,
plug it back in, and flip the standby switch to "on."
4. If items 1-3 do not resolve the issue, contact 3D Systems Service.
HW5
Machine is very hot to the touch
on the outer shell
The machine has a built-in cooling system. A high temperature could indicate
an issue with this. Cease use and contact 3D Systems Service immediately.
HW6
LED bar is damaged in the curing
chamber
Please see the section Remove/Replace LED Bars.
HW7
Offensive odors emitting from
machine
1. You may need to hook up external ventilation to the machine.
2. If issue persists, contact 3D Systems Service.
