Enter the system's first IP address :
Servers in branch offices have only only one Ethernet interface (eth0)
enabled. Enter the IP address of eth0.
If the VCX system has two Ethernet interfaces and both will be used, enter
the IP address of the second one here. If the system has a single interface
or only one will be used, leave this entry blank.
Enter the system's second IP address :
Servers in branch offices have only only one Ethernet interface (eth0)
enabled. Press the Enter or Return key to indicate that eth1 is not enabled
and has no IP address.
The VCX system's hostname is needed by some applications.
Enter system hostname :
Enter the unqualified name that you want to use for this primary server
(for example, vcx01). Unqualified host names must conform to the rules
outlined in
.
A VCX call processing server can also support adhoc conferencing. The
maximum number of conferencing ports that can be used depends on the
server's CPU performance and which other services it runs. This parameter
limits the total number of ports to avoid overloading the system. Consult
the VCX documentation for help in selecting the value. Do not set this
parameter arbitrarily high or system performance may be affected. Note: If
you will use an adhoc service on a different system to support adhoc
conferencing, this parameter has no effect.
Enter the maximum number of adhoc ports :
Press the Enter or Return key to accept the default answer or enter a
maximum number of ports.
CAUTION:
Setting the number of ports too high can result in an
overloaded system. Unless you are familiar with the load capabilities of
the branch office, accept the default.
The site ID is a unique value which identifies a particular site in a
multi-site VCX installation. It is a string of up to 22 characters,
consisting of letters and/or numbers. No punctuation characters, spaces,
or tabs may be used.
