Removing the
OC-12/STM-4
Daughter Card
This section describes how to remove the OC-12/STM-4 daughter card.
Equipment Required
To remove the OC-12/STM-4 card you need:
A #1 phillips-head screw driver
The antistatic bag that the OC-12/STM-4 card was shipped in
The protective plate (if you are removing and not replacing the
module)
Removal Instructions
To remove the OC-12/STM-4 card:

Remove the three countersink screws from the faceplate (Figure 18) using
a #1 phillips-head screwdriver in the following order:
a
Right of daughter card
b
Left of daughter card
c
Center of daughter card
Save the screws for future use in the part bag the screws were shipped in.

Remove the screw and washers from the top of the OC-12/STM-4 card
(Figure 19). Put the screw and washers aside for later use in the part bag
that the screws were shipped in.
