The mDVR618 has four digital outputs that can be used to configure alarms. You can assign any of these
events (Recording, Video Lost and Motion) to a specific output by changing the output number. For example,
recording status is sent to Digital Output 1, Video Lost status is sent to Digital Output 2 etc… The Digital Output 1
and 2 are connected to the event marker labeled “Recording” and “Video Lost”. Digital Output 3 and 4 can be
connected to external LEDs inside the vehicle using the mDVR618 sensor/alarm cable harness.
You can also control the LED mode by clicking on the “Mode” drop menu and selecting either flashing by
interval, on or off when the event occurs.

MOTION SENSITIVITY
When using recording mode “trigger by motion”, this option lets you adjust the motion sensitivity from the
video being captured. Values range from 1 to 7, 1 being the lowest sensitivity and 7 being highest sensitivity.

SENSOR CONFIGURATION MENU
The mDVR618 provides 6 digital inputs standard and 6 additional digital inputs optional for a total
maximum of 12 digital inputs. The digital inputs are used to connect to any sensors that are available in your
vehicle. You can assign a unique name to all sensors listed in the menu. Shown in the menu are the factory default
settings. The sensor name will be recorded on your video file if OSD (On-Screen-Display) is enabled.
“Inverted” defines how the sensor should work. For instance, if you check the box “Inverted” then the
mDVR618 detects “0” as the active state of the sensor. If the check box is un-checked then the mDVR618 detects
“1” as the active state of the sensor. Please make sure you understand how your sensors work before connecting
them to the digital inputs.
