eaZy123 Wizard Setup

6.1 Overview

This chapter provides information on the wizard setup screens in the Web Configurator.

The Web Configurator’s wizard setup helps you configure your device.

6.2 Accessing the Wizard

Launch your web browser and type "http://zyxelsetup" or “http://192.168.1.2” as the website
address. See

Section 2.2 on page 13

for detailed information.

Note: The wizard appears when the WRE6505 v2 is accessed for the first time or when

you reset the WRE6505 v2 to its default factory settings.

The wizard screen opens.

Note: If you have already configured the wizard screens and want to open it again, click

the eaZy123 icon (

)

on the upper right corner of any Web Configurator

screen.

6.3 Using the Wizard

The eaZy123 wizard for the WRE6505 v2 is available in both Repeater and AP mode.

6.3.1 Repeater Mode

The wizard scans for available Wi-Fi networks and displays the network list. Select a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
network to which you want the WRE6505 v2 to connect to extend the network. Click

Continue

If the wireless router or AP you want to connect to is not listed, click

Choose Network Manually

and go to step

to configure the SSID and security settings manually.

If you don’t want to associate with a 2.4 GHz network, click

Skip 2.4 GHz
