2.8 WAN Setup
This section describes how to configure the WAN ports on your Prestige 153/153X by using
Menu 2- WAN Setup. The Menu 2 - WAN Setup is used for entering information about your
Modem or ISDN TA which is connected to a WAN Port. Select a WAN Port (# 1,2, or3) that you
wish to configure first. Then configure the WAN Port from Submenu 2.1. If advanced setup is
required, go into Menu 2.2. When you are finished, press
[Enter]
in Menu 2.1. Your Prestige will
save the information to ROM first; then use this information to initialize the Wan Port and the
attached modem or ISDN TA.
Note on WAN Setup
Before you connect a leased line modem or ISDN TA to your Prestige, make sure to configure the
device accordingly. To configure the modem or ISDN TA, refer to the instructions provided by the
manufacturer
2.8.1 Prestige 153 WAN Port Setup
Prestige 153 supports three WAN port connections with Modems or ISDN TAs.
To configure the WAN ports on Prestige 153, follow these steps:
Step 1.
Select option [2. WAN Setup] in the Main Menu by typing 2 at the menu selection
number prompt.
Step 2.
In Menu 2 - WAN Port Setup, as shown in Figure 2-9, enter the number (1,2, or 3) of
the WAN port you wish to configure.
