If the DHCP is tick, you need to uptick.

Change
Subnet Mask, Default Gateway
and
DNS
to the same figure you find on Step 1, but
IP
address
you need to change the last digital to avoid conflict, for example, if your Step 1’s ip address is
192.168.1.2, you need to change it to 192.168.1.5 or anything else).

Put in the password. Refer to chapter for credentials.

Click on modify.

If you have a “Password error”, it doesn’t necessarily mean password is wrong, it could mean you have
done Step 3 incorrectly.

If now error message comes up, click on search again, now the detail should be changed.
Step 5: Repeat for Each IP Camera
Now you need to plug in another camera and repeat from Step 1 to Step 5. Make sure the
IP address
you
change in Step 4 should always be di
ff
erent for each device.
Step 6: Change the Network Setting for Your NVR
1. You need to do this on a TV monitor that you have connected your NVR to.
2. Click on Main Menu > Sys Setup > Network
3. Untick DHCP if it is ticked
4. Change
Subnet Mask
and
Default Gateway
to the same figure you find on Step 1, but

5. Change the DNS and DNS 2 should be exactly the same as gateway.
6. Leave others to be the same.
7. Click on Save
Step 7: Change Computer to Original Setting
1.
Once you have done all configurations for all devices, you need to go back to your PC and go to
Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections.

Right click on the connection, click on property, and click on the Internet Protocol Version 4.

This time you need to select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address
automatically. And click on OK and OK.

This step is important as it puts your PC back to normal network.
Step 8: Putting Things Together
•
Connect all equipment all according to Chapter 6
•
Go to Main Menu > Remote Device of your NVR
•
Click on search, all your camera should come up on the search result.
•
If you have more than 1 camera, the ip should all look di
ff
erent, if they are the same You have done Step
5 correctly.
•
Click on Add.
•
Click on confirm.
•
Hopefully by now, live image should come on to your monitor.
