2.2.6. Maintenance / repair
• Only undertake servicing, maintenance and cleaning work with the
engine shutdown and stationary.
• Remove ignition key and lock cab if necessary.
• Fluids escaping under high pressure can puncture the skin and cause
serious injuries, for this reason seek medical attention immediately.
• The radiator is under pressure when hot. Caution on opening the cap!
• Correctly dispose oils, filters, fuels, batteries and other materials used
for operation!
• Changing tyres requires appropriate specialist knowledge and the correct tools.
2.2.7. Brake system
• Check the action of the brakes prior to each journey.
• Regularly thoroughly check the brake system.
2.2.8. Electrical system
• On the replacement of components, pay attention to the stipulated technical requirements!
• On the subsequent addition of electrical components, check whether these cause malfunc-
tions in the vehicle electrics/electronics.
