The Function of
Master Node on
Primary Ring
One master node exists on primary ring of one ZESR domain. As
shown in
Figure 55
, such as master node S1 is both the initiator
of detection of ring network state and the decision-maker for op-
eration after topology changing of primary ring.
The Function of
Transit Node
Transit node is used to monitor the state of direct-connect ZESR
link and notify the link change to master node, who will make
decision for processing.
The Function of
Assistant Node
Assistant node is also the border node, and transit node with only
one port on corresponding segment link. It is mainly used to mon-
itor the state of direct-connect ZESR, notify the link change to
master node and meanwhile monitor the state of master node on
segment link.
The Function of
Multi-Domain
Multiple domains are supported on one segment of link, realizing
traffic sharing.
