Overview
6.1.1. Electronic description of Soleo
line
The whole electronic hardware of the Soleo
line
is placed on the main board.
The main board contains the power supply unit, output stage with various relays, the microprocessor and DSP’s
sections.
The next figure shows the various circuit sections on the main board.

The electric/ electronic of the Soleo
line
starts at the mains socket. It is designed as a high-current type of a non-
heating device socket to allow different mains cable to be supplied for different countries.
The mains switch is designed for mains voltages between 85V to 265 VAC. 2x 2A mains fuses are integrated in
the mains socket to monitor both mains cables and it provides a 2-way shutdown.
The mains voltage is distributed to the power supply unit, where the parts of the switched-mode power supply
are located. The switched-mode power supply generates the needed voltages of 200V and 15V for the different
units on the main board. Diverse DC-DC converters generate the necessary low-voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V
and 5V for the different logical components and the voltage range for the output-stage.
