5. Device general description
5.1.
Over view
The therapy device Soleo
line
includes stimulation current therapy and ultrasonic therapy with the possibility to combine it
with the Vaco device to suction-wave massage.
There are three different device variants. The first one is
Galva
, which only includes a stimulation current therapy
module. The second device variant is
Sono,
which only includes an ultrasonic module. The third device variant is the
Sonostim
, this variant includes a stimulation current module and a ultrasonic module. Only the device variants
Galva
and
Sonostim
are combinable with the suction-wave module
Vaco
.
The stimulation current module is used for stimulation current therapy and -diagnostics according to the standard
medical practices also in combination with the internal ultrasonic module (simultaneous procedure). The ultrasonic
module is used for ultrasonic therapy according to standard medical practices also in combination with the internal
stimulation current module (simultaneous procedure). The suction-wave module is used for suction-wave therapy and in
combination with the stimulation current module is also used for positioning the suction electrodes.
Soleo
line
has a plastic housing, the mains power inlet, mains fuses and the power switch are placed on the backside of
the device.
The device is operated by 2 actuators and a touch screen. All device functions are controlled by a microprocessor.
The device consists 2 galvanically separated stimulation current modules, where the ultrasonic module is also integrated
in one of those modules for therapy in the simultaneous procedure mode.
The ultrasonic component generates the necessary signals for transmitting the selected acoustic power to the patient via
a transducer.
The suction-wave component is located in the Vaco device and can only be operated by a microprocessor situated in the
Soleo
line
.
The communication between Soleo
Line
and the Vaco device is realised by an IR-interface. A microcontroller in the Vaco
device controlled the system internal processes of the Vaco components and in case of failure or malfunctions the vaco
device will be stopped independent of the Soleo
line.
