However, even after switching off the general switch, the connecting terminals and the outside of
contactors are st ill l ive. For t hese reasons, pr ecautions must be t aken and t he i nlet i solating
switches and inverter outlet, if any, placed outside the inverter, must be opened.
The general switch m ust be opened when the system i s shut down ( on/off switch in the OFF
position) and w hen no ener gy i s being i njected i nto t he ne twork, al though this can be opened
under any conditions.
The system i s supplied with hi gh e nergy st oring ca pacitors for its operation.
When t he g eneral
switch i s t urned on i ts discharger co mes into oper ation and a beep w ill be hear d. When t he
capacitors are at a safe voltage, the beeping will stop. This operation will take about ten seconds.
If the system has been turned off for some time (about half an hour), when the general switch is
turned on the beep may not be heard as the capacitors will have discharged by themselves.
Even t hough al l t he sa fety sy stems are i n pl ace, be fore t ouching any working par ts, y ou m ust
check that they are not live.
This system has been designed for industrial and/or domestic-commercial use.
If any liquid is spilt accidentally on the System, disconnect this and consult ZIGOR personnel.
The sy stem i s ready t o receive power f rom the photovoltaic panels. The phot ovoltaic field m ay
pose a risk of electric shock or burns due to its high short circuit current.
During assembly work, start-up or maintenance, wear goggles to avoid any damage to your eyes
due to accidental electric arcing.
The unit must be protected against rain and excess humidity and installed in a clean atmosphere,
without inflammable liquids, gases or oxidising substances.
Environmental indications
A number of system subassemblies may be recyclable products. In order
to protect the environment, manage these in accordance with current environmental regulations and
requirements in force in each country or community. If you are in any doubt please consult the
manufacturer.
