Information
When operating the motor with a sinusoidal or incremental encoder, the frequency inverter must be
equipped with the option module EM3-ENC-ASM-ZA (item no. 357104)
•
Use a shielded cable for the connection.
•
Attach the shielding on the inverter corresponding to the terminal or pin assignments.
•
Make the connection between the frequency inverter and the encoder without additional terminal
points.

Caution!
The SUB-D jack pin assignments are not standardized. When using external encoders, make
sure that they have the identical contact assignments and an interface with identical speci

tions.
