6.6 Emergency evacuation
Attention!
The measures for emergency evacuation described below may only be performed by instructed
persons for maintenance of the lift or quali fi ed personnel of lift companies.
6.6.1 Manual emergency evacuation
In case of power failure or failure of the recovery control, emergency rescue is only possible by
releasing the brakes manually.
Please see the lift manufacturer's instructions for the exact procedure.
Before evacuating and releasing the brake, the following must be checked with the necessary
technical knowledge:

What is the cause of the failure?
•
Is the operating brake in order?
•
Is the gear in order?
Danger!
Further action may be necessary for the safety of the trapped persons.
" Do not perform emergency evacuation in case of an operating failure by triggering of the
overspeeding device or unknown cause but call in a specialist.
" Specialist personnel must also be called in, if damage is found to the operating brake or teh gear.
" The work necessary for evacuation of the cabin may only be performed by authorised persons.
" Make sure that is impossible to operate the lift electrically during the entire evacuation
procedure.
The following measures are necessary on the drive for evacuation:
1. Make sure that the lift cannot be operated electrically or can automatically start moving.

2. If the gear is equipped with a safety brake, bleed this with the 3 enclosed bleeding screws (1).
