ALTERNATOR
The alternator is accessible after removal
of the right-hand side shield. The red
warning light on the combined instrument
panel indicates the charging state.
A burnt indicator lamp 12V / 2W
must be immediately replaced.
The indicator lamp is a part of
alternator exciting circuit; when
the indicator lamp is burnt, the
battery is not charged!
All wires connected with
alternator must be disconnected
when repairing tractor by electric
arc welding. Protect the wire
"+B" against short circuit
ALTERNATOR MAINTENANCE
Protect the alternator against penetration of water or diesel fuel when
washing and cleaning the tractor!
The accumulator must be never disconnected from alternator in operation!
The alternator must never run without load i.e. with disconnected cable from
terminal "+B" and connected terminal "+D". With increased engine speed, this
state would create excessively high alternator voltage, which could damage
the alternator semiconductors!
Never create short circuit of any alternator connector in operation!!
The alternator must not be additionally excited. Alternator semiconductors will
be damaged in this case!
Keep electrical connections of alternator terminals and alternator ground in a
perfect condition!
Reversing of alternator polarity, even for a short time, is not allowed!
