Power On Start Up Sequence
At switch on, the display will sequence through
each digit and the lights on the front panel.
This startup sequence may be bypassed by
pressing any of the left hand buttons
(START
CHANNEL, TOP SET, PREHEAT LEVEL, LAW)
during the sequence
.
The display will then show the programmed
DMX start channel address, together with the
status (present or otherwise) of the three
phases. The ‘DMX ONLY’ or ‘AN
DMX’ light will come on depending on the
setting of the Mode Switch on the rear panel.
If a DMX signal is present, the Contour will
output the preheat levels for 2 seconds and
then jump to the levels set by the DMX signal.
If no DMX input signal is present:
In DMX ONLY mode, the DMX ONLY light
flashes slowly, and the Contour will output the
pre programmed preheat levels only.
In DMX + ANALOGUE mode, the Contour will
output the higher of any analogue inputs or the
pre programmed preheat levels.
The green lights above each channel button
vary in brightness to indicate the channel level.
Channel Test
Press any Channel button to turn on that
channel. The yellow light in the button will come
on and the output level will be set to 50%
(default).
Press the channel button again to turn off.
Programming the Contour
Setting the DMX Start Channel
Press and hold down the START CHANNEL
button. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons to change the
start address.
Release the START CHANNEL button.
Channel Test / Override Level
Press and hold down the required channel
button. Use the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons to change the
level to which the output channel is turned on
for test purposes. The display shows the value
in %. Release the channel button when the
required level is reached. Press the channel
button again to switch the channel off.
Top Set
Press and hold down the TOP SET button, then
the appropriate channel button. Use the ‘+’ or ‘-’
buttons to change the maximum level which is
shown on the display in %.
When finished, release the TOP SET and
channel button.
Top Set For Multiple Channels
To set multiple channels to the same level,
press and hold down the TOP SET button, then
the first channel button, then all other channel
buttons required (these do not have to be held
down whilst the first button is held down).
Once all the required channels have been
selected, the first channel button may be
released and the “+” or “-” buttons used to
change the maximium level.
When finished, release the TOP SET and
Channel buttons.
