Care of the Device
Care of the instrument that can be carried out by the user is restricted to the following operations:
The instruments are not equipped with special devices for the protection from substances that
are corrosive, potentially infectious, toxic, or radioactive, or from other substances that could be
hazardous to health. Make sure to observe all legal regulations, particularly the relevant
national accident prevention regulations when handling such substances.
•
Prior to cleaning, switch off all instruments connected to the mains supply and disconnect the power
plugs.
Cleaning of paint surfaces
•
Use a clean cloth, moistened with water that may contain a mild detergent.
•
Take care that no moisture enters the instruments.
•
Do not use any solvents.
•
Dry cleaned surfaces with a lint-free cloth.
Cleaning of glass surfaces
•
To remove dirt or fingerprints from glass surfaces, use a clean optics-cleaning cloth.
•
To remove sticking dirt, immerse the optics-cleaning cloth in a mixture of distilled water and a little
amount of a cleaning agent (optics cleaning mixture L).
•
At the end of the cleaning procedure, breathe slightly onto the glass surface and rub it dry with a
clean cloth.
•
Fluff or dust is best removed with a clean natural-hair brush.
