8 Maintenance
Failure to carry out (periodic) maintenance on
the unit ultimately compromises the performance
of the ventilation system.
A maintenance log has been included at the rear
of this document which can be used to note all
performed maintenance.
When carrying out any work on the unit, make
sure the power is disconnected and cannot be
inadvertently reconnected.
For safety‘s reasons the primary circuit-breaker can
be locked with a padlock and the hinges/clamps
can be locked using the locking screw or lock in the
hinge/ clamp. The hinges/clamps are unlocked by
rotating the locking screw 90° in the direction of the
arrow on the hinge/clamp. Do not forget to relock the
hinges/ clamps after maintenance by turning locking
screw back 90°.
The fans carry on rotating for a while after being
switched off.
Always take ESD-inhibiting measures when
dealing with PCBs, (printed circuits boards) such
as wearing an antistatic wristband.
To clean the whole ventilation system, we
recommend hiring a specialized cleaning firm.
