We congratulate you on
having purchased a product from
Zapf Creation AG.
To avoid any unpleasant surprises
when playing with the BABY born
®
pony, we recommend you carefully
read these instructions prior to first
use and then keep them, together
with the packaging.
Caution:
Please make sure no moisture gets
into either the electronics or the
battery compartment.
All about batteries and recharge-
able batteries:
Batteries or rechargeable batteries
(2xAA (LR6)) do not come with the
article. Please open the battery
compartment lid on the pony’s
tummy using a suitable screwdriver.
Now insert the batteries and close
the lid. Then switch the switch on
the underside of the pony to “ON”.
If the pony is not played with for
longer periods, then we recom-
mend switching the switch back to
the “OFF” position to help preserve
the life of the batteries.
Should the pony’s sound functions
fail to work, please check that the
batteries are correctly inserted and
are the right way round. This is
shown inside the battery compart-
ment. Perhaps the batteries are
dead and need replacing. If so, re-
move the batteries, insert new ones
and switch back on. We recommend
high-quality batteries as these have
a longer life.
Never use any type of battery other
than the type stated. Other types
of batteries must not be mixed
with the correct ones, nor must old
batteries be mixed with new ones.
Remove used batteries and dispose
of as special waste. Check batteries
regularly to make sure they have
power. Remove batteries if the
BABY born
®
pony is not used for a
long period. If rechargeable batter-
ies are used, please remove them
from the battery compartment
before charging. Rechargeable bat-
teries must only be charged under
adult supervision. Non-rechargeable
batteries must not be recharged.
Never short the connections.
Functions:
The pony only operates when
the ON/OFF switch (on tummy) is
switched on.
When the pony is switched on,
2 different sound functions can be
operated:
1. Stroke the pony on the
forehead to obtain a
“neighing” sound.
2. Place BABY born
®
on the pony’s
back (with or without saddle)
to obtain a “galloping” sound.
Cleaning:
The pony can be wiped with a
damp (not wet) cloth. When doing
