3.6 MICROPROCESSOR PARAMETERS
If starting the unit for the first time after installation
or starting after adding/removing an optional
feature or if operating parameters have changed, the
configuration will need to be reset.
NOTE:
When replacing the microprocessor, the
parameters need to be configured to the appropriate
default settings. Replacement CPU boards do not
come pre-programmed.
3.6.1 To enter a Set Point
The procedure to adjust/enter a desired temperature:
1.
Press and hold <SET> for 3 seconds
2.
Box temperature starts to flash
3.
With the <UP> and <DOWN> arrows
select the desired temperature
4.
Press the <SET> button again to store
the temperature
NOTE
: If no buttons are pressed for 5 seconds, the
Cab Command reverts to the previous box
temperature display and the configuration procedure
is aborted.
3.6.2 Parameter programming
The operating logic is based on a specific parameter
configuration depending on model and its options.
Procedure for entering the programming mode:
1.
Press and hold <PRG> button for 5
seconds
If you do not see the first
parameter (FUS) after
step 1.
Follow these step
before proceeding
i.
Press <SET>
ii.
With the <UP>
arrow select “11”.
This is your
password for
access.
iii.
Press <SET>
2.
The Parameter will be displayed in
yellow and its value in red
3.
With <UP> and <DOWN> arrow
buttons choose the desired
parameter
4.
Press <SET> to select the parameter
5.
The Current value will flash, and use the
<UP> and <DOWN> arrow buttons to select a new value.
6.
Press <SET> again to store the value and
proceed to the next parameter
NOTE
: If no buttons are pressed for 5 seconds, the
programming mode ends automatically.
3.6.3 Common Parameters
Below are listed some of the common parameter involved
in the unit operations.
“dt” = Hysteresis[°F]
Hysteresis sets the null mode differential temperature.
This setting determinates the temperature difference
between box temperature and set point that controls
compressors cycling. Factory setting is 4 °F
“IS” = min. set point [°F]
Minimum temperature allowed as the set point value.
Refrigerant
“IS” Value
R134a
40°F std -4°F w/ Hot Gas
R404a
-4°F
“SS” = max. set point [°F]
maximum set point value. Factory set is 86°F
“tdF” = Defrost type
Defrost type
“tdf” Value
Air
Air
Hot Gas
Std
“Std” standard defrost according the defrost logic for hot
gas defrost
“Air” during defrost only the evaporator fans operate.
“dS” = Defrost time [minutes]
This setting determinates the length of time in minutes the
unit will remain in defrost once defrost is initiated. Defrost
duration can be changed by changing the value in the
programming section. Factory set is 15 minutes
