Using A Static IP Address
8.2
The Z3-MVE-20 supports DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). This is enabled by default,
allowing the encoders to dynamically receive an IP address at startup. The IP address that is assigned
can be seen through using ZFinder. If you prefer, you can set Encoder 1 and Encoder 2 to static IP
addresses. If you would like to have your PC set to a static IP address, you will need to set your encoder
to a static IP address as well in order for it to be discoverable by ZFinder.
To set your unit to a static IP address, complete the following steps:
Un-check the “Use DHCP” check box in the user interface. Once it is no longer selected, you will see
(1)
that the values for Local IP Address, Local Netmask and Default Gateway become editable.
Enter your desired network settings.
(2)
Click on “Save User” and wait for the “Saved All to User” message to appear.
(3)
(1) Check “use
DHCP”
(2) Values no
longer editable
