Streaming RTMP
The Z3-DME-01 also supports streaming RTMP to servers such as Wowza and ustream. The steps for doing
so are as follows:
(1)
Follow steps (1)-(9) earlier in this section to connect the DME-01 for encode and bring up the Web
GUI.
(2)
If using Wowza, install the Wowza server on a PC on your network (for details on configuring Wowza,
please see “APPENDIX A: Configuring the Wowza Server for RTMP”).
(3)
In the Encoder Web GUI, set “Output Interface” to “Ethernet (VBR)”.
(4)
Set “Output Format” to “RTMP”. This will cause “Dest IP Address” and “Dest Path” to appear.
(5)
In “Dest IP Address”, type the IP address of the PC with the Wowza server (in this example, it is
“10.1.10.251.”).
(6)
In “Dest Path”, type “/live/1080”.
(7)
Set the resolution to “1080i” (or preferred resolution you want to stream to Wowza).
After finishing steps (1)-(7), the GUI should look like the following:
(1) Set to “Ethernet (VBR)”
(2) Set to “RTMP”
(3) Set to IP Address of Wowza Server
(4) Set to “/live/1080”
(5) Set to “1080i”
