3D Viewer contextual menu
In all modes, a right click in the 3D Viewer will open a contextual menu with relevant
functions for the user. Once again, the contents of this menu depends on the current
mode of the scan tree.
At all times, the following three functions will be available.
•
Reset Viewpoint will move the viewpoint back to its original position. It is a quick
way to get the whole piece in the 3D Viewer when zoomed on a detail or
somehow lost the model from the current view.
•
Lock Zoom allows the user to set the level of zoom on the piece and still allow the
viewer to follow the movements of the scanner during the scan. This function is
useful when scanning on small details on a part. The default value is unchecked.
•
Lock Viewpoint allows the user to lock the viewer in its current position. From that
moment, it will no longer move automatically when scanning. However, you can
zoom and rotate at will and the viewer will remain static while the acquisition is in
progress. This can be useful when trying to acquire data on small details on a
part. The default value is unchecked.
•
Show Volume Bounding Box controls the display of the volume bounding box. If
unchecked, the bounding box will no longer be displayed. In its default position,
the bounding box will be shown.
•
Change Display Colors gives the user the choice of the colors used in the 3D
Viewer as it is shown in the following figure. Change will prompt the user to select
a new color and Restore will revert the color to the one used before opening the
dialog. The Default button will revert the colors to their factory value. ZScan 2.0
offers to parameter all possible colors in the 3D Viewer, so you can customize the
scanning experience to your needs.
