the Facets Edition mode
Edit | Increase
Resolution (while in
Edition mode)
Increase the resolution of the currently
selected facets by 4
Edit | Decrease
Resolution (while in
Edition mode)
Decrease the resolution of the currently
selected facets by 4
Edit | Recycle
Facets (while in
Edition mode)
Put the currently selected facets in the
recycle bin. Facets in the Recycle bin
can be restored later.
Edit | Delete
Facets (while in
Edition mode)
Permanently delete facets. Use this
function carefully, as it cannot be
undone.
Be careful when using the Delete Facets functions. Facets will be
IRREVERSIBLY DELETED. When in doubt, use the Send facets to
Recycle Bin function.
Facets Mode Expanding Panels
There are two expanding panels in Facets
mode: Facets details and Facets Parameters.
The Facets Details Expanding panel gives the
user information such as the number of triangles
and vertices in the current scan. This expanding
panel is informative only.
The Facets Parameters contains 4 important
parameters for facets rendering.

Fill Positioning Features: This
check box controls whether the
detected positioning features are
filled or not in the facets.
•
Spike Filter: This filter attempts to
find the vertices that are too far
from the neighborhood vertices,
hence creating a spike in the
surface. The filter will then move
that point towards the facets,
