Troubleshooting
This section covers all the errors during the cycle.
A diagnostic program is always running during the analysis cycle. Any anomalies or errors during operation,
the analysis will be flagged with error message displayed on the status-bar.
5.3.1
Start-up Errors

No power supply
No action, no movement, no light

Turn on the power switch; Connect UNION to
the power supply; Check the electrical power

Check the USB connections; Reconnect the USB
cable; Re-switch on the power supply;

5.3.2
Errors during Operation
The following errors may be detected during the analysis cycle:
Cartridge Error
When such error occurs, the tests of the corresponding cartridge will be aborted.
Instrument Error
In such an error, the whole analysis cycle stops.
Connection Error
This indicates an error with the USB connection or connection error with the computer. The final results
can be transferred to the computer with reconnection.
5.3.3
Error Messages
During the cycle, two types of errors may occur:
Cartridge Processing Error
This type of error involves one or multiple cartridges that made it impossible to process the problem
cartridge(s). The cycle will continue for all other samples. Only the sample(s) with the error message is
aborted. On the table displayed, samples with error message will appear in red with the associated error
code listed in the OP column.
In the final report, the error will be displayed with the error description.
System Errors
If this error arises, the RUN cycle stops completely.
