Procedure
Use the following procedures to create dial-now template.
Creating a dial-now template:
1.
Using an ASCII editor, create a new file.
2.
Type <DialNow> to indicate the start of the dial-now template.
3.
Add the following string to the template, each starting on a separate line:
<Data DialNowRule="" LineID=""/>
Where:
DialNowRule="" specifies the dial-now rule.
LineID="" specifies the desired line(s) for this rule. When leaving it blank, the IP
phone will apply to all lines.
4.
When completed, type </DialNow> to indicate the end of the dial-now template.
5.
Save this file to the root directory of the configuration server.
The following is an example of a dial-now template:
<DialNow>
<Data DialNowRule="1234" LineID="1"/>
<Data DialNowRule="52[0-6]" LineID="1"/>
<Data DialNowRule="xxxxxx" LineID=""/>
</DialNow>
You can add contact one by one on the phone directly. In some cases, you may want to
add multiple contacts to the phone at the same time or share the contacts on many IP
phones. You can create a local contact file, then save the local contact file to the root
directory of the configuration server, specify the access URL of the contact file in the
configuration files.
When creating a local contact file, remember the following:
The contact file must be in .xml or .csv format.
<contactData> indicates the start of a contact file and </contactData> indicates
the end of a contact file.
<group> indicates the start of a contact list and </group> indicates the end of a
contact list.
