Via the Operating mode you may specify if the interface is operated in half-duplex
(RS485) or full-duplex (RS422) operation.
At half-duplex parameterization with RS485 software data flow control is
not possible.

Half-duplex - Two-wire operation (RS485)
Data is exchanged between the communication partners but only in one direction at a time. In half-
duplex operation, therefore, at any one time data is being either sent or received.
01h
Full-duplex - Four-wire operation (RS422)
Data is exchanged between the communication partners in both directions simultaneously. In full-
duplex operation, therefore, data may be sent and received at the same time. Each communication
partner must operate simultaneously a receipt line.
