9. Measure:

• CO density

Out of specification

 Adjust.

Within specification

 Checking the air

induction system.
Refer to “AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM” in
chapter 7.

10.Adjust:

• pilot screw

If the CO density cannot be adjusted by adjust-
ing the pilot screw, overhaul the carburetor
and check the air filter.
If there are no problems found with the carbu-
retor or air filter, replace the muffler assembly.
11.Install:
