Prior to checking the ignition timing, check the
wiring connections of the entire ignition system.
Make sure all connections are tight and free of
corrosion.

1. Remove:

rider seat
Refer to “SEATS AND SIDE COVERS”.

2. Remove:

fuel tank bolt

3. Lift up the fuel tank end.

4. Remove:

shift rod

1

5. Remove:

rider footrest (left) bolts
