Recording Yo u r Performance
You can record up to 10 of your performances to the instrument as User Son g s. The
recorded User Son g s can be played back in the same way as the preset Son g s.
A Song can b e recorded to the six tracks. Yo u can
record w itho u t specifying tracks, bu t yo u can also
record each track one b y one (e.g., only the right-
hand part or the left-hand part) to create a complete
piece w hich may b e diffic u lt to play at once.

Melody Tracks [1/RIGHT]–[5]
These are for recording melody or similar perfor-
mances.

Accompaniment Track [A]
This is for recording a chord progression for the
Style.
This section explains ho w to record w itho u t specify-
ing a track. This is u sef u l w hen recording a ne w
Song from scratch.

• If you want to record only the melody perfor-
mance, press the [SONG] button.
• If you want to record the performance using a
Style, press the [STYLE] button.

Press the [REC] button to enter the
Record Ready mode.
This operation selects the lo w est-n u m b ered
u nrecorded User Song from 061–070 (User 1–
10) as the recording target.
Track 1 w ill b e selected as recording target of the
melody, and the Track A w ill b e selected as
recording target of the accompaniment part (the
chord progression for the Style a u tomatically. If a
User Song w as selected b eforehand, recording
data w ill o v er w rite Tracks 1 and A of the selected
Song.
To exit from this stat u s, press the [REC] bu tton
again.

Start recordin g .
• When you press the [SONG] button in step 2,
play any note to start recording.
• When you select a Style in step 2, play a chord
in the Auto Accompaniment area to start
recording with Style playback, or press the
[
] (Start/Stop) button to start recording
with playback of only the Rhythm part of a
Style.

• This instrument records your performance and saves it in an original format. If you want to save it as MIDI data, convert it to SMF by
saving it to the connected USB flash drive (page 74–75).
NOTE
