T u rn do w n the [MASTER VOLUME] control to
“MIN”.

Press the [ ] (Stand b y/On) s w itch to t u rn the
po w er on.

Press and hold the [ ] (Stand b y/On) s w itch for
a b o u t a second to t u rn the po w er off.
Settin g the Auto Power Off function
To pre v ent u nnecessary po w er cons u mption, this
instr u ment feat u res an A u to Po w er Off f u nction that
a u tomatically t u rns the po w er off if the instr u ment is
not operated for a specified period of time. The
amo u nt of time that elapses b efore the po w er is a u to-
matically t u rned off is 30 min u tes b y defa u lt; ho w e v er,
yo u can change the setting. For details, refer to page
69, F u nction 071.

Disablin g Auto Power Off (simple method)
T u rn the po w er on w hile holding do w n the lo w est key
on the key b oard. This starts the instr u ment w ith the
A u to Po w er Off f u nction disa b led.
Adj u sting the Master Vol u me
To adj u st the v ol u me of the entire key b oard so u nd,
u se the [MASTER VOLUME] control w hile playing
the key b oard.
Using a Key b oard Stand
The follo w ing key b oard stands (sold separately) can
b e u sed.
• L-2C
• Even when the power is off, a small amount of electricity is
still being consumed by the instrument. When you are not
using the instrument for a long time, make sure to unplug
the AC adaptor from the wall AC outlet.
• Press only the [ ] (Standby/On) switch when turning the
power on. Any other operations such as pressing keys,
buttons or the pedal are not allowed. Doing so may cause
the instrument to malfunction.

The lo w est key
• When the instrument is not operated for a specified period
of time while connected to an external device such as an
amplifier, speaker or computer, make sure to follow the
instructions in the Owner’s Manual to turn off the power to
the instrument and the connected devices, in order to pro-
tect the devices from damage. If you do not want the
power to turn off automatically when a device is con-
nected, disable Auto Power Off.
• Generally, the data and settings are maintained even when
the power is turned off. For details, see page 48.
• Do not use the instrument for a long period of time at a
high or uncomfortable volume level, since this can cause
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not place the instrument in an unstable position where
it might accidentally slip down. This could cause physical
injury to you or others, as well as damage to the instru-
ment or other property.
